Spessa Castle - a good idea for your staying in Italy!

I would like to share with you my recent visit in Friuli Venezia Giulia..Enjoy!

Recently I visited a beautiful resort in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, located in one of the most impressive and green areas of Italy. It  is  called “ Castello di Spessa”, located in the “Collio” area in the province of Gorizia, which is famous for its excellent wines. The resort is swathed in greenery and the castle overlooks a golf course which merges with surrounding picturesque and   uncontaminated hills.

A castle is a place where you can breathe in the  romantic aura of bygone days. Downstairs, there is the kitchen, the breakfast room, as well as several halls, those provide a perfect setting for wedding banquets, as well as any other special events. Upstairs, there are comfortable bedrooms, impeccably furnished.

The external court is the ideal location, during spring or summer, for a buffet or  to be used simply as a backdrop for a photo shoot.

The castle  has its own restaurant, which, in addition to pampering guests with tasty dishes, organizes lunches or dinners for weddings and other events.

The resort includes two other establishments, the hotel-restaurant “Tavernetta al Castello”, which provides accommodation, as well as restaurant services, plus the farm holidays’ building ( known as Agriturismo)  “La Boatina at Cormons”, which houses vinification cellars, and provides an ideal setting for a short stay!

In addition, there is an antique cellar where famous wines are stored, which offers tastings of  typical local dishes and wines.
